On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the river safety social organization ‘Nongor’ has continued its tree planting program on the banks of 100 rivers in different districts of the country.
This time the program was organized on the banks of Chitra river in Narail district. Last September 21, 2020 at 11:30 am. world-renowned painter SM Sultan inaugurated the program by planting a fruit tree inside the Samadhi ground complex.
Narail District Administrator Anjumanara was present as the chief guest in the tree planting program. Special guest was Mr. Jasim Uddin, Superintendent of Police, Narail District, PPM (Bar).
At the time, Shuman Shams said, “On the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, the campaign of anchoring on the banks of 100 rivers in Bangladesh will continue to keep the country’s rivers and environmental nature safe.”
Later more forest trees were planted in the Chitra river embankment area of the city. Also present were Mr. Malay Kundu, Convener of Nongar-Narail District Branch and Mr. Salauddin Sheetal, Member Secretary of the District Branch, Munshi Asadur Rahman, Organizing Media Officer, SM Sultan of Bengal Art College , Media worker Mr. Shahidullah Shahin, member of Nongar-Faridpur district Shubh Ghosh and others.
